Former Vice-President and Presidential candidate Al Gore will be at the Bank United Center with his interactive presentation about global warming at 6 pm on February 28 at the Bank United Center. Mr. Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth (http://www.climatecrisis.net/) is based on the presentation.

UM Knight Center for International Media Designs America’s Newspaper of the Future
The Knight Center for International Media will hold a public symposium titled “The New American Newspaper” on Thursday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. The symposium will consist of a wide-ranging conversation with industry professionals about the state of American newspapers and websites and how a more visual approach to information delivery might extend the reach of newspapers in our society. This event is free and open to the public and will take place in the School of Communication’s Shojaee Hall.
Among the guests leading the Nov. 15 symposium will be Tom Kennedy, managing editor for multimedia at Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, and Alberto Cairo, award-winning journalist, designer and assistant professor at the School of Journalism.
